Using the Messageboard

The messageboard is the place where you can post messages/comments on a range of topics (within reason). And is really easy to use, and free!

When you first access the messageboard home page, you'll see a selection of messages/posts from other people - this is where all the posts are shown.

If you want to post a message, simply click on the 'post a message' link near the top of the page, you'll then be taken to a form, where you can fill in your name, or nickname, and other details, including your email address (which is shown with your message) and gender. Then you can type your message to be shown on the board - this message cannot include any offensive text, nasty remarks, etc. (click here for our terms of use) or your message will be deleted/edited by us. You can also include special characters, including 'smilies' - small animated characters, and include hyperlinks to other web sites - click here for more details.

Then, when you've finished typing your message, you can submit it to the board (you'll have to wait a couple of seconds for it to be added) or preview your message - so you can then make any changes to it before actually submitting it.

You can also post comments/replies to existing messages, simply click on the icon near the top of the message you want to comment on, and a form will be shown, where you can enter your name message, when you've submitted it, it should appear below the relevant message.

Please note - you cannot edit messages once you've submitted them, so, if possible, preview your message before posting it!

If you experience any problems, please contact us, and selecting 'web site' in the 'with reference to' box.

Accessibility

This web site tries to cater for many people using the site, including people with disabilities, such as sight problems.

We've tried to make as much of the text adjustable, so you can change the size of the text in your browser (Internet Explorer and Mozilla FF users, go to 'view' | 'text size', other browser users please consult your browsers' user guide/help file) to suit your needs.

If you find any problems with the site, please contact the Webmaster [here].

Pop-up windows/opening links in new windows

If you have clicked on a link that should open something in a new window, and nothing has happened, then it's most possibly a 'pop-up' blocker. You can stop this from happening, by adjusting the settings on your 'pop-up' blocking software - consult the software manual/help guide for instructions. Although our site doesn't have, sometimes annoying, 'pop-up's' that appear automatically, however, we do sometimes have 'pop-up' windows that appear when you click on a particular link.
